Important question is ...did you get the shot you were after. If not, rub some dirt on it, and get back out there!

it is about creativity right?

your teaser is great and it's very well executed. I love it but... is it original?

take a look at this D90 test-footage from 7 months ago: http://vimeo.com/1836490

you can't protect an idea, but you can protect a "format" and you come very close to an existing one in this video...

your blog and work are extremely inspirational to me, so I'm a bit surprised to see so much simelarities here...

but, no worries; I'll get over it... 8^)

Nice work Chase. I watched a couple of time to see how it was done. For a minute there, I thought you were starting to get into some serious visual effects. As someone else commented something like this was done with a D90 and chroma key. Either way it's pretty realistic. As a motion graphic designer I can see how stills and video will be coming together.

If you're really wanting to get creative and see some cool creative visual effects, check out www.videocopilot.net. Andrew Kramer came out with the original how to on getting hit with a car tutorial. It's amazing at what can be done these days with some software and a desktop computer.

Hmm... 2 to 1000 Iphone pictures a day... right.. At first I was relieved to hear that. After all the images I shot today on my cellphone it was a relief to know I'm not that odd... but din't see that end coming... hmm right... good point... I'lll be keeping that one in mind.

That really bad continuity editing error when you switch camera angles as you're walking out onto the road took away the impact (so to speak) of it for me.

Chase, there is more to making any kind of film/video project than having a camera and an idea. You need a decent editor.

Funny though.

Way to go Chase. I'm a Virginia Beach wedding photographer primarily, but your ideas about pushing the art directors has totally inspired me in my work. The commercial photography that I do has met with great reviews because I've taken your advice about doing extra in the creativity dept. Just want to say thanks man. Keep it coming. You do us all a great service.
