Friends. My team who run the day to day show over at creativeLIVE have put together an amazing deal for the holidays on photography and video “weekend workshops” from your favorite photography instructors – some of the best in the world: Vince Laforet, Zack Arias, Jasmine Star, David DuChemin, Jeremy Cowart and Tamara Lackey. Single courses are all offered $129 (instead of $149), but the really smokin deal is this: all 6 courses for $399 (that 55% off. whoa.).

They tell me that special offer ends soon. Please support this cool concept. If you’ve thought about buying a class or want an entire year of photography education for one amazing price, me thinks this is for you. More info is here at

sounds awesome, but “me thinks” i can’t afford it as more than i can’t afford it :( maybe next year :)

  2. Aaron December 8, 2010 at 11:52 am #

i can’t afford it more than i can’t afford to miss it*

  3. vallord December 8, 2010 at 1:38 pm #

Just rounded out my collection with the David duChemin. Great deal at $129. Excited to use my holiday break for some creativelive immersion and playing with my new camera.

  4. Meredith Phillips December 8, 2010 at 4:56 pm #

This is wonderful! We are all so blessed to have such amazing resources at our fingertips. I have been recommending these workshops to all of my friends and teachers, and getting positive feedback. Keep up the good work! I hope to be able to purchase a similar set next year, when I can hopefully afford it!

  5. John-Mark December 8, 2010 at 8:54 pm #

I can’t afford this personally but this won’t stop me for sharing it with every creative I know.

Thank you Chase, and so many others for stepping out and placing hours of work and knowledge on the line, for us.

  6. Ian Cheung December 9, 2010 at 1:27 am #

I’m really interested in Tamara’s course but I missed it live so I am not sure if it is really for me. From the course outline it seems something I was looking for but the intros aren’t so revealing apart from Tamara’s presentation style.

I would love for there to be a partial replays or snippets from the teaching parts to help those who missed the full course make a decision. What do you think? Thanks

    • Chase December 13, 2010 at 7:15 pm #

that’s coming this week! some snipits… follow @creativelive on twitter.

      • Ian Cheung December 13, 2010 at 9:58 pm #

        Cool. Followed :)

  7. Brent December 9, 2010 at 10:17 am #

Great deal for those who can afford it! I wish I didn’t have a day job so I could watch em live instead of trying to figure out how I am going to afford them… well I guess it’s mac and cheese for a while!

  8. Kenna Klosterman December 9, 2010 at 11:25 am #

WOW. This is an incredible and groundbreaking offer from creativeLIVE! I have been lucky enough to volunteer as an in-person chat host at creativeLIVE for 5 of these 6 master workshops. I feel like I won the lottery & truly was in the right place at the right time. I can honestly say that I have learned more in the past 6 months through these 6 creativeLIVE workshops than I have in 20 years of photographing. Not to mention all of the other creativeLIVE classes. I have seen comments from participants in photography school saying that they have learned more in a single CL workshop than at photo school. These courses are the real deal. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of education for $399. How do they do it? Well, it takes each and every one of you who can afford to buy these classes to keep creativeLIVE going into 2011 and beyond. Say YES to the democratization of creative education.

    • joe photographer December 10, 2010 at 5:00 pm #

Are you a frickin’ moron? Tens of 1000’s of dollars worth of education. Paaaleeeeze. It’s a frickin’ Flip video talking about stuff Kelby Video charges peanuts for and there you get tons more. If you want to make creative education democratic then GIVE it away or charge low monthly fees as does or Kelby. But Chase has his ego to feed and is tryin’ to do his own independent thing. Well screw that. I’m putting my money in a few places dedicated to education, not funding Chase’s shortcomings in commercial photography. Not me mo fo.

  9. Tom Bricker December 9, 2010 at 3:04 pm #

I would love to buy these, but unfortunately, I plunked down much more for a small box of precious metal and gemstones rather than instructional videos and a super-telephoto….

    • Tom Bricker December 27, 2010 at 3:36 pm #

      BTW, She said, “Yes!”

  10. Clay December 10, 2010 at 11:12 am #

Can’t wait to see what you and the creatice live team come up with next year!

  11. joe photographer December 10, 2010 at 4:55 pm #

    Chase baby,

Get over yourself. Kelby is the shit and you need to fall in line and contribute what you have to Kelby Training. Is it your ego preventing you from doing that? Things have GOT to be tough in the commercial advertising photography world. A marketing department can find a really good local or smash together some stock photos, and while it may be not all that, it will be good enough. I mean, you are branching into putting together an App which has to be dead ended by now, another pish posh photo book, the Chase LIVE crap-a-rooni, and whatever else. Is it a yard sale next???

  12. Chase Jarvis December 10, 2010 at 5:44 pm #

    anonymous joe:

commercial photography around here is up about 30-50% year over year.
in fact it’s funding all these other things that you cite, yet have very little to do with me:

…like a creative education platform that brought FREE creative education to a million people in 2010.
…like a book about 100 interesting people from my home town, where 100% of the proceeds go to charity
…like a live broadcast show with the aim to highlight numerous outstanding people in my field, and what raised $5000 on monday to build a well in africa that will supply fresh water for 250 families for life.

and i’m thankful that my day job pays for it all. no yard sales in the foreseeable future.

of course you should feel free to put your money wherever you like. kelby and lynda are are awesome people and friends of mine. i have a huge respect for them both.

if you’re not pickin up what i’m putting down, i’m not sweating it. just kindly move along to one of the other 140 million blogs online today. surely there are a few out there that might gel with your thinking.

    all the best.

  13. Alvin Wong January 14, 2011 at 1:56 am #

    Hey Chase,

I’d really like to get the package that is $399. I just saw this post and look up on it. Any chance I could get that still? If not I might have to settle for Jasmine and Zack only… *sigh*

    Please help?

Thanks for your posting. One other thing is that if you are selling your property all on your own, one of the challenges you need to be cognizant of upfront is just how to deal with household inspection accounts. As a FSBO owner, the key to successfully shifting your property and saving money on real estate agent commissions is information. The more you realize, the smoother your sales effort is going to be. One area in which this is particularly vital is reports.

One more thing. I do believe that there are many travel insurance web-sites of respected companies that permit you to enter your journey details and acquire you the estimates. You can also purchase the actual international travel insurance policy on-line by using your current credit card. Everything you should do is usually to enter all travel details and you can begin to see the plans side-by-side. Just find the program that suits your allowance and needs and after that use your bank credit card to buy it. Travel insurance on the internet is a good way to do investigation for a reputable company for international holiday insurance. Thanks for revealing your ideas.

Thanks for the interesting things you have unveiled in your post. One thing I would like to reply to is that FSBO human relationships are built over time. By releasing yourself to owners the first saturday their FSBO is usually announced, before the masses start calling on Wednesday, you generate a good network. By sending them tools, educational materials, free accounts, and forms, you become the ally. If you take a personal desire for them along with their circumstance, you develop a solid interconnection that, in many cases, pays off in the event the owners opt with a real estate agent they know plus trust — preferably you actually.
