To Want To Be Successful is Not Enough

To want. To be ambitious. To want to be successful is not enough. That’s just desire…

In this 90 second clip, the actor Kevin Spacey gets to the core of what it takes. Some amazingly simple, powerful words for us all to live by.

@Kevin Michael Reid – the clip is from Inside The Actor’s Studio :)

I remember watching this clip almost exactly a year ago when I was going through a rough patch. Although my situation has changed greatly, Kevin Spacey’s words are still as powerful and inspiring today as it was then.

Thanks for sharing (and reminding me!) Chase.

Amazing speech. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Sometimes it is so good to hear few simple words with that kind of personal meaning…

Hey Chase,

thanks for sharing this inspiring clip. Spacey really nails the message to a couple of words.

Another reason why Kevin Spacey is so successful. The man just gets it. And he’s completely inspiring to others while he gets it.

Sandra Steh says:

What he is saying is sort of a precursor to what Steven Pressfield lays out in the book The War of Art.

Could’ve done without the strings in the background swelling up, but into every life a little cheese must fall, right? :)

JHP says:

Cool video.

But what about that cheesy music in the end. Also there is one guy in the audience that plays a supporting role in the second season if the wire.

Rameez-k says:

This just makes so much sense to me. I know it obviously doesnt relate to photography directly but if you really want it you have to gun for it.

Just gives me all the more push I need to try and get my own photography out there and try and achieve as much as I can. We only have so much life. I don’t want to regret not making the moves I needed to make.

Thanks Chase,
Appreciate all you do for us
