How To Make a Kickass Portfolio: chasejarvis LIVE Re-Watch with Allegra Wilde

In case you missed our December 6th episode of Chase Jarvis LIVE, it was all about the portfolio. We had Allegra Wilde, visual strategist and co-founder of eyeist.com on the show, talking about common mis-steps and some of the best ways for your work to get noticed. She even gave us a quick portfolio review and a sneak peek at her upcoming service eyeist.com. You missed quite the show, indeed, but luckily the re-watch of that broadcast is right here.

Thanks for the video! This one made me really question my goals for 2012. I’ve wanted to build a quality portfolio and the information Allegra provided was invaluable. 2011 was spent building the clientele to keep me afloat, but 2012 is going to be all about personal development.

    Thank you again!

I had only just gotten my first DSLR this last Christmas, and as an aspiring amateur I cannot tell you how much I value what you and your crew provide for me. The advice from your show gives me outstanding guidelines to strive by, I can’t believe it’s free and presented in such an easy to digest manner! All the wisdom you share from your blog is an incredible resource to me. I appreciate all you do for people like me looking for tips and advice. Working with you must be a dream job.

First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a
quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
I’ve had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Many thanks!
